A wonderful certified biodynamic wine from Paxton in McLaren Vale. This Shiraz exhibits a bright red fruit aroma with hints of raspberries and plum. The palate shows layers of complexity, initially a primary fruit character, followed by a mid-palate density from the whole bunch, wild, natural fermentation and carbonic maceration. The finish is delicate with balanced tannins and a subtle influence from the French oak barriques. 95 points from James Halliday for the 2015 vintage. Drink now or will reward careful cellaring for up to 10 years.
